Sex Education

Need for Education in human sexuality:

Human sexuality is an area in which one hesitates to talk about openly because of taboo attached to it. Normally people shy away when they hear the word ‘sex’. It was tough so far to get correct and scientific information on human sexuality because of this. But today there is an increased research and knowledge available about human sexuality. The mass media, which is more powerful, also projects human sexuality so much, which is mostly sensational and fantasy. Children imbibe the knowledge of sexuality through the media mostly and form their own values and opinion because the adults at home and in educational institutions shy away from talking about this subject openly.

Incidentally, human sexuality does not deal with biological information alone but with attitudes, relationships and values and for this adult interaction is irreplaceable. Hence there is an abundant need to educate especially youngsters on human sexuality.

very good site, you just need to fix the problem with the about you and the adsense banner overlapping each other.

I think what you say is right on target! This has long been a concern of mine as well. It's one of the most difficult subjects to deal with because of people's emotional response to it. However, we need more people willing to voice the truth about such issues. I applaud your courage!

I agree as well. Especially about the media. I think good examples really need to start in the home to make an attempt to counter the effects of the media.
But...I'm not too hopeful for the future. My Bible ( I see you're probably from a different religion and I respect that) says the last days will be as the days of Sodom and Gomorrah and I believe we're getting quite close to those days.
You might have an area for "Frequently asked Questions" or something like that right in the beginning to let the reader know right away the content of the rest of the posts.
I know what I'm trying to say, but having a hard time saying it at this hour of the morning.
Anyways, rah rah for anything that doesn't promote sex as the media does.
