We come across two types of marriages being performed in our society. One is ‘love marriage’ and another is ‘arranged marriage’. A third very rare category is ‘arranged love marriage’.

Youngsters are nowadays attracted towards love marriage. One selects his/her partner through love affair. But often we find love marriages end in problems. Very rarely people succeed in happy love marriages or rather become happy out of it. During initial periods the couples enjoy like anything because of love marriage. But as days are being passed the success or failure can be gaged. Success in marriage depends on many factors, that we will discus a little later. However mutual understanding is a must for any marriage to become successful. Deep love and passion are the basic factors for the love marriages.

The second type namely ‘arranged marriage’ are customary from primitive days. Parents find suitable match for the son or the daughter. Family background, status, economic support and more closely the adaptability and adoptability of the people in the family are the main concerns. Often parents succeed in finding a suitable life partner for their son/daughter. Limited chances are given to the incumbents who are going to enter into wedlock. We come across a large number of marriages lasting for permanent bond in these type of marriages.

The third category of arranged love marriage is the best one. Here the partners desire is being fulfilled as they have choice and at the same time it satisfies the conditions of parents too. But very few marriages are taking place in this category as it is very difficult to fulfill the choice as well as the conditions of both the parties.
